Gorba - program matrix via SRAM card, 15 Jun. 2024 19:22

Hello
I have Gorba LCD matrix (like inside BVG Lion‘s City DD) with SRAM card slot, Alpha NT 2.26.9, Omnidrive USB, SRAM CARD 512kb (working fine with LLE) and database in Alpha NT.
I want to program matrix with data. Everytime i try to program Gorba matrix with SRAM card end‘s with red light.
I‘m trying to export files from Alpha NT for multiple times - NT File, ASCII files, NT Ram Card, etc. - files created on card, nothing works, only red light.
How to do that correctly?

The Gorba configuration must be written to the card using the Gorba CardReader

No, that‘s not enough. The CardReader is needed if you want to load with the card.

The problem is that old Gorba CUs expect a certain structure of the card, when you use Omnidrive as a normal disk it used FAT16 as a file system. The original GORBA sram reader writes basically raw data from AlphaNT to the card.
Technically you could send your data to somebody with a Gorba reader ask them to write it to an SRAM card, then make an image of that card with PCM(aka OmniDrive Card manager), send that image to you. When you write that image with an OmniDrive to your card it will work.

I had already tried this with WinImage, but in vain. However, not tried with PCM from the Omnidrive. Therefore, for a try, I could offer it.
I have a SRAM with 512KB memory, of which I can then create an image.

You could try formatting the SRAM card with Ted Plus. Then, without formatting the card again, insert the data from Alpha NT directly via the file browser.
No guarantee that it works

I have the card reader. I can later try to make an image of the formatted card using PCM from CSM.
I have to mention here that after formatting, no files can be put on the card. So for testing purposes I will simply use an existing configuration of mine that has the right size.

I couldn‘t create an image with PCM (3.0.4).
Maybe it‘s because I only use a (Windows XP) laptop with a PCMCIA drive and don‘t have an OmniDrive.
With WinImage I was able to create an image, but when loading the image for verification, an error message came up.
I‘ll hang it on anyway.
But somehow it must have been created.
At least the goals can be viewed via HEX Editor.
It is also interesting that there were still things from Lawo on the map, despite the formatting before.
