Meister/Duhamel TFT next-stop sign pinout, 22 Jul. 2020 23:13

I‘ve a TFT next-stop sign from Meister Electronics. But I don‘t know where to connector power and data to it. There‘s a large CPC connector with 14 pins where mulitple cables come in, a GG45 on a green cable and a USB-cable.
Inside there‘s a connection strip where all the cables are connected to. But no labels 
Does anyone knows how to connect a sign like this?

I have seen a similar system in use by mvv.
The RJ45 is used for data uplink to the main vehicle computer.
USB is used to reinstall/update the os(windows xp, vista, 7, 10)
The big CPC pinout is probably similar if not completely the same as the pinout for the double LCD displays or the old Meister LED Stop signs.
It should have the ibis, power and stop criteria on it.
If the unit has the SD/CF card, could you please dump it.?

I don‘t have the pinout from the older Meister LED next-stop signs, I threw the connector away after replacing it with standard CPC-4 and power connector years ago Those were more easier... only 3 cables (2 for 24vdc, 2 for stop-sign and 4 for IBIS). But this one has alot more :-o
The sign is removed completely from the bus, I suppose there will be a CF card on the bottom side of the left PCB? One of these days I‘ll disamble the whole sign, if there‘s a card I‘ll make a image of it for you

I think you can guess the CPC pinout by the cables that go into the board. 2-wire will be likely power, 4-wire IBIS.
I would assume that the middle ones are power, white is + and brown -. You can also try to find GND on the large capacitors and +24 on some fuse

From what I saw there was no 2-wire cable, only 3-wire. And multiple 4-wire ones
Tomorrow I‘ve take a look at it again, it‘s too late now :)

I‘ve found the CPC-14 cable of a old Meister LED interior sign, but the pinout is really different.
There‘s no 2-wire cable. The brown and white one is part of a 4-wire cable.
There are 3 cables with 4 wires yellow-brown-green-white. And one of them have the yellow wire unused. Also one cable with 2 wires, both black.
There‘s no fuse which lead to one of the pins. And the ground of the 12v fan and housing of the DB-connector is connected to each other, but not to a single pin on the strip/CPC.

There‘s only one 2-wire cable and that‘s a cable with two black wires.
There are 2 big capacitors with the "-" coonected to one of these black wires. But each of these black wires is also connected to one of these brown capactors next to the connection-strip. And the other side of these capacitors are connected to each other. So I think these black wires can‘t be the power supply as well

Theres no fuse which lead to one of the pins.
F100 is not directly connected to the pinout?

F1, seems to be the Main Fuse on the PCB, was checked too, i think?
Does anybody knows the origin of this display?
Kennt jemand den Ursprung des Displays oder hat eine Ahnung, wo sowas verbaut ist/war?
Falls es ein Mercedes war und man Busbetrieb/Kennzeichen kennt, könnte man ja anhand der VIN-Nummer nach Schaltplänen suchen.

That fuse F1 is not connected to any pin on the connection strip / CPC-14 connector, was the first thing I checked.

Sorry, sometimes i overlook something. Better ask twice...;)
If you know the Bus/Company you may help me to find the VIN of this or a similar Bus (http://phototrans.eu has a great database to find the VIN).
If i have the VIN i can hav a look at omniplus to search for some circiut diagrams of this bus.

the tft-monitor seems to be 71A10, your black connector "X1"
Pins :
1: +24V (white)
2: GND (brown)
3: Input from FPS Electronic (HB5, Signal "Door open") (white)
4: Stop Sign (brown)
5: Input Signal from FPS (HS2, "Power on") (green)
6: 4-wire-cable from/to radio device (Shield)
7: " " (ws / weiss / white)
8: " " (br / braun / brown)
9: " " (gn / grün / green)
10: " " (ge / gelb / yellow)
11: 4-wire-cable from IBIS Connector (ws / weiss / white)

I‘ve connected 1 to 24vdc and 2 to ground (it‘s the cable with the two thick black wires), but the sign didn‘t came alive... it‘s staying off I don‘t think the sign is broken because I‘ve two of them and they both doesn‘t turn on.
Maybe one of the wires to "FPS" is a switched 24vdc? Because so far I remember, these interior signs doesn‘t need to reboot every time the bus is turned off.
Tomorrow I‘ll take another look at it.

I think you are right, Cable 7003 (Pin 5/green) looks to be a switched power supply or "Power On" Signal from FPS. (Sheet 288 from complete wiring diagram)

.its also very difficult for me to understand sheet 288 completly.
FPS - Programmable Electronic Unit which is using Logical Operations to realise a lot of functions in the modern bus...30 years ago the bus has 30 relais on board, today they will need 500 for the modern stuff...or 5 special electronics.. ;)

The sign fully works now
It seems like IBIS is not needed, it uses ethernet.
The Init CopilotPC onboard computer polls the sign both on IBIS (Ds020) and ethernet and also send aL8 telegrams, but the sign only use ethernet. If ethernet is not connected the sign remains on "sorry, no route information". But if only ethernet is connected everything works.
Somehow I think in the past there was some older software installed in the signs which used IBIS? I know the buses where delivered with a older type of onboard computer which probably used IBIS.
