Changing software/configuration in LAWO interior sign?, 08 Nov. 2019 17:05
|
I‘ve two LAWO l077 interior signs. The hardware is the same, but the software is not. Both have the E3210 controller board.
The first one: - Accepts Ds009 - Shows a IBIS clock (u-telegram) - No "Wagen halt" function
The second one: - Accepts both Ds003c and Ds009 - No clock - Does have a "Wagen halt" function
How is the software/configuration changed? Like switching on the clock on the second sign, activating Ds003c and maybe alot more other options?
I‘ve read some basic information about the E3210 board. It seems like the data is transfered using the BOOT-interface and TLP. Something about a "Betriebsprogram" named "uni3z.f00" is mentioned. I think that‘s why one of the signs shows "uni3z" at startup.
There‘s also a mention about "Konfigurationsdatei" named "led_inne.le1". That file seems to be produced using TEDplus. In the past I‘ve seen a old custom.cfg for "LED-Innenanzeige" with alot more (undocumented) options which produced a "led_inne.le1". But that was something from ‘94.

you flash them via the D-SUB9 port with TLP32 and a computer with hardware(!!!!) parallel port.
Firmware is not extractable, so you can‘t go back.

I‘ve used TLP32 before with a MONO-master and I have alot of PC‘s and notebooks with hardware parallel port.
But I can‘t find any firmware/"Betriebsprogram" and configuration files for generating a new configuration for this type of sign

You can change some settings with TedPlus, also fonts are changeable. It has to be uploaded via TLP or you can use a 27c256 and burn the led_inne.le1 onto it and install it into the free socket.
If you ask nice enough, the people at LAWO will answer

Which custom.cfg do I need for TEDplus to make it compatible with these signs?
You mean a 27c256 in the empty flash socket? The documentation says it‘s for a 29F010 flash. And there‘s a jumper to switch when flash is placed. Is it needed to switch it before placing a 27c256? |
