Hello,
A couple of friends and I have bought a bus (MAN, originally came from Germany), and we wanted to make the destination signs work.
When we got the bus, the signs did not work. But we figured out that all the cables had been disconnected. After we tried some things we got it to work, but we don‘t really understand it (we just press some things 😬)
I have tried searching for more information, but didn‘t really find what I was looking for (and most of it is in German, which isn‘t my best language).
So I was hoping that maybe someone could tell me a bit better how we can operate the sign.
We also want to know how we can put our own text on the sign.

The pictures arent working.
The EG952 can be loaded with a special downloadbox. I have one in my collection.

I‘ve changed the pictures, apparently you can‘t use a direct link to Google Photos.

No, those units are very rare. But if you can send the EG952 to me, i can program it for you and send it back.

Do you have the 3 Socket version or the two Socket one?
two socket: If you have access to a EPROM programmer and a 28C256, you can get a image from Grzegory
three socket: you just need to read out the EPROM(27C256) and edit the data with a HEX editor.

No, I mean how many EPROM sockets are on the Motherboard of the EG952. You have to open it.

It doesnt mather how many sockets there are, the EG952 has flash-memory. Only the older units (EG988 etc) have EPROM-memory.

You can do a mod.
If the PCB is like this one:
 (c)robbertv
You can replace the RAM chip with a 28C256(same behavior as a RAM chip) and use a EPROM programmer to write it.
