IBIS Wagenbus protokoll Modul, 04 Sep. 2017 11:08

Hi all,
Nice to meet you all here. Is there anyone knows there is "a module with IBIS protocol"? I am from vehicle computer manufacture, however we are not familiar with IBIS protocol and would like to buy the module to combine with our computer in order to access IBIS data. Thank you.

BUSE sells a industrial grade RS485-IBIS convertor you can use(around 150 EUR).

Regarding IBIS(VDV300) protocol - there is no unified way to make every device work, while the commands themselves are documented, every manufacturer had their own thing, plus there are multiple combinations of telegrams that basically display the same this thing, but are structured completely different.

So the best way to do it would be:
1) Find out exactly what hardware you‘ll be interfacing with
2) Contact the manufacturer and order a set of RS485-IBIS convertors and the manufacturer specific documentation.
