What‘s a GSP FT95?, 02 May. 2017 12:13
|
Some years ago I got a GSP FT95. It‘s build in a testing rack. But I don‘t really know what it is and had left it in the junk corner for some years.
The unit does turn on. After that it says...
"Systemprüfung IBIS/DIAS Compactgerät"
...and the counter in the lower right corner counts from 1 to 99 and start over and over again. Each button give a "peep" tone, but nothing more.
Does anyone know what this unit do, how to use it or to program it? Can it do destination sign controlling?
It‘s about this:

The unit is labeled SF-Products, but if I pull away the sticker it‘s just GSP
The module left is named "IDC1/SFO". The right one is the FT95.

Hi!
Normally this should be a terminal to control an IBIS (or similar) system, it is installed in some German trains, here you have a small description of how the system is installed on those trains but it is in German and probably not very helpful to take your thing back into service...

Can you upload some pictures of the back and a better one of the left front panel to read the names of the plugs ?

This is the left unit front and back:

I‘ve opened it and it already have a IBIS interface in it.
I saw this system yesterday in a old Dutch train too. But still doesn‘t know how to get mine back working
I suppose there must be data loading in to it.

Hi there,
what you have is a DEMO set for SF Products and their IBIS system for busses, I think for Arnheim. Important is the LED called "K1". After one minute it should get off. If it glows permanently, you have a serious problem with one of the systems. Maybe someone erased the embedded OS or something is damaged. The system is about 20 years old and a full system include ability to control displays and to "speak" announcements as "volgende halte... blabla". All you need is 24V and a speaker and so you get the party started.... :)
Cheers
