New to IBIS where to find VDV 300 standards?, 06 Apr. 2017 22:05

Hi all!
First of all thanks to all the members for all the available information!
I received as gift a complete IBIS system, including IBISPlus, HMI, GST, annax displays, etc.
They are working but I would like to replace the IBISPlus with a PC running my application to simulate all the elements on a light train.
The first thing I think I need to get a hold on is onto a IBIS sniffer and the standard.
Can anyone point me to a place where I can find the original VDV 300 series standards?
And an IBIS sniffer? If I could sniff everything the IBISPlus sends maybe it was easier...

You can buy the standard documentation, about 30 eur for the telegram part, but it only lists the commands and does not really explain the structure of the extended vendor specific telegrams.
For the basic stuff it"s enough to just read - http://cybox.ib-luehning.de/ibis/ibisdata.html, this should be enough to control most of the equipment.
As for the sniffer - you can build one yourself with a usb-ttl device and a optocoupler+resistance+transistor, but the high speed telegrams will be hard to catch(normal ones at 1200 are ok). What you could do as a quick and dirty solution is connect the rx line of the usb-ttl to the rx line of the cpu/serial extender on one of the slave devices(electronic skills required). Another way would be to connect to the monitor port of the IBISPlus(pinouts are required).

Thanks, the monitor port seems the most useful one but I don‘t have the pinouts, I only have a schematic on how to connect everything up.

I found out that I‘m missing the CF of IBISplus, how can I recreate it? Is there some software to manage it‘s configuration? Any documentation out there on it? Thanks!

Which version of IBISplus do you have? In the Trapeze IBISplus G1 / G2 is a Windows embedded working.

It‘s the G1, I don‘t have any documentation on it, does anyone has some documentation of where can I find it‘s configuration and such?
I‘m trying to find the original CF card. I‘m afraid that an alternative one won‘t get to work with all the modules I have unless I can find a way to configure it...

With a cross-over Ethernet-cable you can connect a PC with the IBISplus. Send me a private message for details.
