How to load stop-names into LAWO L8006 control unit?, 02 Mar. 2017 16:05

I‘ve a LAWO L8006 control unit and a 801/7 download-device. And also a DL-UNI download-connection box.

It seems to be possible to load stop-names into a L8006 to let is control next-stop signs using ds009. But I can‘t get it to work

I have the HSE software to edit stop-names and DZP800 for loading the data into the 801/7 download-device. But I can‘t get DZP800 to "see" the 801/7.

If I start DZP800 with the 801/7 connected, it gives this error message:

The COM-port setting in LLE.CFG is checked already.

I have tried to use a straight 9-pin cable to connect the 801/7 with the PC.

But I also have tried another cable with this pinout:
2 <--> 2
3 <--> 3
5 <--> 5
At the male connector 1 bridged to 9.
At the female connector 4 bridged to 6.

It just gives the same error I already have tried different (old) PC‘s and booted MS-DOS from a floppy to run DCP800, all giving the same error

But the 801/7 is definitely working, because it works well with TEDplus on the same PC, with both cables.

Am I doing something wrong causing DZP800 not seeing the 801/7 device?

Check is the COM port settings are standard aka "COM 1 - Addr: 3F8 IRQ:4", sometimes they are not set like this in the BIOS. Windows does not care.

Also you can just write the stop names into the EPROM, I think Gregory has more info on that.

I‘ll check the settings in the BIOS.

EPROM? But inside the L8006 there‘s SRAM :-o

The SRAM chip is pin and logic compatible to 28СXXX series EPROM.

But let Gregory post the correct model of the EEPROM chip he uses.

I‘ve checked the COM-port settings in the BIOS... it‘s already correct... still not working

I think I must wait for Gregory for instructions to use eprom storage.

I‘ve tried both of your firmware files, but they don‘t boot up... only half black/white display

Because your files are 64KB I‘ve wrote it to a 27c512 and I‘ve put it into the same socket as the original firmware.

The original firmware was 32KB and on a 27c256. Is that a issue? Must I change some jumpers to use 27c512?

And also... the original firmware already does Ds1 and Ds3.

How can I load Ds009 stops into it? Can it be done with your firmware?

This is the original firmware of my L8004:

I think you have to set the Jumpers (near the Eproms) for using Eproms. I‘ve send you a "Datasheet" ;-)

Memory 27C257 differs from memory 27C512 number of addresses, so you need to change istawienia driver.

Data in the controller in the RAM
The program where you can create a data InfoTed

File after compiling a tip .biz
You need to check where in which memory data.
To read the RAM on the programming must be:
Soldered to the terminal storage battery 3.6V
For the programmer, in my ELNEC Beeprog +
set memory 28C256.
It has the same topography leads at RAM 62256
Set the programmer to not check ID memory.
read.
One of the RAM is only the data processing by the CPU
Those that have a backup battery on the motherboard, used to store route directions line
Drivers L80 Xx the earlier version L86xx
The file paths .biz created in InfoTed

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zli1miszj3c9rbx/InfoTED.rar?dl=0

The memory 62256 can replace the 28C256, but not always work you need to check. This method srawdza the drivers KRUEGER APPARATEBAU

I‘ve got both of your firmware working by adjusting one jumper for 27c512.

Then I‘ve write a .biz file to a 28c256 and place it in the SRAM-socket, but it doesn‘t work The unit start up normally with Ds1 and Ds3, but it doesn‘t seem to take the .biz data :(

I do not know exactly where you downloaded the file biz. You have to read from RAM

The drivers Lawo important is that the address begins with a data file.

Try to read the memory Lawo manner which I have described.

There‘s no data in the RAM to read, because the back-up battery was already dead when I got the unit...

Well, try plugging the controller into IBIS.
RS232 interface - ibis
Load the program of TED-a

What do you mean with "TED-a"?
And how should I connect the IBIS to RS-232? Normally the RS232-IBIS is a master... the control unit it also a master, then they will blown up... :-o

I only can use it to "listen" to the control unit by connecting the sending wires of the control unit to the receiving part of the RS232-IBIS. But then sending something to the control unit is not possible.

Hello
You need to have an interface converter RS232 signals on IBIS.
Lawo produced loader which wpinało the sdo bus IBIS directly to the plant or to the controller. In LAAWO L8401 was a special connector on the front panel

I doesn‘t understand it all

I do have a RS232-to-IBIS converter using this schematic (https://www.dropbox.com/s/usluc0oxnh3pmaj/IBIS-RS232.png?dl=0 ). But that‘s a IBIS-master.

The L8006 is also a master... I suppose they will blow up if I connect them together?

Do you have a schematic which can used to connect this control unit?

Hello
Scheme ist in Ordnung.
Der Fahrer hat immer die Adresse 0
Das Programm InfoTED ist möglich, die Daten an den IBIS Bustreibers zu senden
Sie haben ein Programm InfoTED?

sorry für die Sprache
