Which software is used for a Meister line-number sign?, 18 Jan. 2017 20:08

Some time ago I got a Meister LED line-number sign with 16x28 pixels  The plate-type is unknown, these‘s no type-number on it.
The sign is usable with Ds001 but some numbers have special lines in it. Like 801-898 shows E1-E98. And number 900 has a U-sign in it. The sign also supports Ds001a with some pictograms like a schoolkid and a boat.
Inside the sign there‘s a "LED-A-Controller rev. 2" driver board with PCMCIA-slot. The firmware-version is unknown, but when I send a aV2-telegram to it, it sends back aVLA1062. So I suppose LA1062 is the firmware-version?
Which software is used to program a sign like this?
I only have experience with LCD signs from Meister. For LCD I use LZD (which also support some LED types). But so far I can see, there‘s no custom lines possible in LZD. So I think it won‘t be LZD.
Further, I also have LxD, but will it be compatible with this sign and firmware? I didn‘t have tried it because so far I know the sign will erase it‘s current configuration if a card is inserted. When the file is not compatible it will render my sign useless

You could always dump the flash chip as a backup :)

The flash-chip is a soldered PLCC... I don‘t have equiment to desolder it without damaging it

The LED panel should be a AM02 (listed at the back of the print).
The controller print is the same as front signs. Also same panel, front has 4x AM02.
Programming just with LZD 4.x and choose glass type AM02.

But AM02 is 16x32. This sign is 16x28 :-o
Also, with LZD I can‘t see any options for input Ds001 and Ds001a entries. But this sign has these programmed.
