Brose sign malfunction when change firmware to Ds1/Ds3, tried 2 versions :-/ , 14 Jun. 2016 15:56

There‘s some strange behavior with my Brose flip-dot sign (with SA535-4 controller board, 16x112 dots).
When I got the sign it has OVF Ds21 firmware. It worked fine.
Now I‘ve changed it for a Ds1/Ds3 version (VMA-F4) and the strange behavior comes in: both Ds1 and Ds3 works with data from IS-Edit and VMAed, but each time when changing the sign-image only yellow dots are set. This leads to texts and lines being written over each other until most of the dots are yellow. it‘s can‘t turned back to black. Even with the sign-test telegrams aT** it only turns to yellow.
But when I put back the original OVF Ds21 firmware in it, the sign works back normal. So the sign is not defective, it looks like it‘s a software-problem.
Why does this happen only with the VMA-F4 Ds1/Ds3 firmware? Do I have missed some settings on the controller PCB or editing software?

I‘ve got another Ds1/Ds3 firmware (VMD HP F4).
This firmware do turn the dots to yellow and back to black, but show some other strange behavior: it skips some columns of the sign 
The sign then looks like this... the black columns are skipped. Both with aT** test-telegrams as with texts:

Why does this happen? Are there different firmwares for different board types?
I already have adjust the sign size inside the firmware according to this I‘ve found here:

I‘ve tried both "84" and "112" at F80A. Both with the same issue, only with "112" the text is shifted more to the right side.
My sign is 112x16 with the first 28 columns reserved for the line-number. I tried "84" because the original Ds21 firmware has "84" in it.

Do you tried to change the coding number? Switch it to 2 or 3.

I‘ve tried address 2... still the same problem. It‘s the same columns which are skipped
It also looks like the aT** test commands always turn the whole driveable area regardless what size is set in the firmware. The size only affect the texts. Because aT** also skips the columns, I think there‘s something inside the firmware which isn‘t compatible with this panels?
Btw. on the controler board there‘s another dial-switch next to the address switch and also a row of DIP-switches. What does these switches does? Can it affect this problem?

Check that you have the chips on the panels.
Since 2000, the company BROSE not apply the integrated system FP2800.
In return, they have their own system, which looks similar but is not compatible
You have to change the BIOS

Do you mean the IC‘s at the back of the flipdot-panels?
These are not FP2800‘s, but some Brose IC‘s.
Which firmware/BIOS do I need for this type of boards and Ds1/Ds3?

Is your problem still present? I could send you the bin-files for Monitor-Program and Flash for the 112x16.
The MT1028 is fully compatible with the FP2800. You can also use it in other systems where the FP2800 is installed, for example LAWO.

This problem is fixed now with your firmware, Ds1 and Ds3 works normally now

It is ;-)
You can use it in different Flip-Dot signs.
The acces times are a little bit different but no problem. The connections and the true- table are the same like FP2800. The FP use bipolar transistors, the MT use FETs, as I can remember.
Tell me some Flip-Dot signs where the MT1028 should not work.?

I tried in the panel 24x28 matrix Lawo on the three systems FP2800.
MT1028 not want to work, otierał flip on the light side but black is not.
