What can I do with a LAWO L80xx control unit?, 04 Apr. 2016 21:30

Today I‘ve got two LAWO L80xx units. One 1993 unit does work with Ds001 and Ds003, another one (1996 unit) give some error-code and some keys on the keyboard doesn‘t work.
These units are quite bulky and have alot more components inside then a 801/4 or L8401. But I only saw Ds1/Ds3 function and something for setting a clock/date. Is this all a L80xx can do? :-o
Of does is have some more function? And where are the buttons "D", "E", "P" "S" and "V" for? They doesn‘t give any response on my unit.
Inside the unit, I also found a Varta Mempac battery... (that horrible square thing which can leak liquid and damage boards  ). I‘ve removed it and replaced it with a 1K ohm resistor. What was this battery supposed to do except running the clock?
Also, the 1996 unit has two extra (unused) connectors coming out of the back connector. What is the use of it? And what does the error-code mean on this unit? The error-code come when I put in a line of dest code.

Hello
This driver is a previous version of the L8701.
It can also act as a DS003a. .biz File is loaded into RAM.
Overflow the battery is a disease of equipment from Lawo.
Fix the path and you should be OK.
I have documentation that the driver provides later
It will download from my server.

Ja.
Ich habe in Polen, viele der Busse mit dieser Art der Steuerung.
Ram gelesen werden können. Schließen Sie einfach die Batteriepole mit dem Speicher und der Programmierer den Typ des Speichers 28C256.
Der Speicher führt 28C256 die gleiche Topographie wie der RAM 62c256 hat.
Daher kann dieser Typ von Speichercontrollern in KRUEGER verwendet werden, anstelle des RAM
Ich habe auf der Programmierung BeePoog + ELNEC
