Hi everyone!

I have a side Mobitec RGB LED display. I do not have controller. There are two cables coming out of the display. One power and one four-wire cable for data. (red, white, black and green colors)

If you turn it on and I press the button on the inside, the size (16 x 112) or numbers and that Addr.6 displayed. The dip switches are inside the box is now six, that‘s why the 6 address.

Thank you, if anyone can help!

In normal case, Mobitec doesn‘t use IBIS at all. Displays are managed by a RS 485-communication that is controlled by an ICU. The sign itself has no memory or bigger intelligence, the bitmap that has to be shown is created at the ICU and transmitted by RS 485 data.

Thanks for your answer, my friend! :)

That‘s what I suspected ... When you push the power on-board test button for a second, displayed: "Fahrschule".

So it only works with its own control unit...

Hi Grzegory!

Thank you very much to you the answer!

In Poland, how much is such a controller?

I found one for 150 euros. Do you think the price is realistic?

The first has two ikłady DS485
The second has only one, and the interface IBIS, IBIS is the one that has a blue connector

All right, I‘ll try.

Mobitec front display is many stuck / adherent pixels. You since recommend to clean the pixels? Isopropyl?
