GORBA Rollbandanzeige + CU 1 S-4, 26 Mar. 2015 22:32

Hello,
I‘m Stephane from Brussels, Belgium. I better write english than german language, but I‘m able to read german => feel free to answer in german !
I got 2 GORBA Rollbandanzeige and 2 CU 1 S-4 Steuergeräte from a friend and the deal is that if I get a pair in working order I keep the other pair 
I bought a 24V power supply and some cabling, and once connected everything powers up nicely, and the Handbetrieb of the Rollbandanzeige works correctly.
Before hooking up the CU 1 S-4 to the Rollbandanzeige I inspected the cabling details and both PCBs : I found the usual white, brown, green and yellow Wagenbus wires routed to the expected chips on both PCBs.
I made the connection shown on the picture, put the Rollbandanzeige in "AUTO", but got no reaction of the Rollbandanzeige to any code entered on the CU 1 S-4.
NB: I didn‘t try each 9999 positions ;-)
I got some questions, but need help to find the answers :
- do I need to terminate the Wagenbus in a particular way, with resistors or something like that ?
- this kit has from origin a bidirectional tram, with one Steuergerät in each driving cab : do I miss a second Steuergerät on the same bus, and without the 2nd one maybe the 1st one doesn‘t work properly ?
If you have some clues to help me making this kit work I‘d be very happy !

Sind das Rollbänder für Außen oder für Innen? Vielleicht ist die Darstellung ja abhängig von einer bestimmten Route (so dass eine Zielnummer nicht ausreicht)?

Hallo,
probiere es mal mit "L" statt "Z" - Gorba hat gerne das "L"-Telegramm genommen.
Außerdem kannst du bestimmt am CU1S hinten DIP-Schalter umstellen, evtl. braucht das Rollband 3, statt 4 Stellen....

The Rollbandanzeige are external ones, there were no internal ones on these types of trams (PCC Gent). The mechanical fixations are different on the two, I guess I have one which was from the front/rear (Frontanzeige), and one from the side (Lateralanzeige).
It‘s originating from such a tram, when it recieved a LED display :
On the back of the Steuergerät there are DIP-Switches which allow to choose L (DS001), Z (DS003), or L/Z (DS001 / DS003).
When I received the stuff it was positioned on Z (DS003). I just tried on the position L (DS001), with no success...

Configuring it on Z (DS003) and 3 digits, it works !!
Arg, I was sure I tried this before :-P
Once I‘ll have put the stuff in a nice wooden case I‘ll make some pictures of it and post it here.

Next step : make an interior Rollbandanzeige from Leipzig work. It‘s made by BROSE if I remember well, but I have no Steuergerät. I‘ll try with the Gorba one, or will have to build something with an Android microcontroller...

Auch hier die Frage: Innen oder Außen? Ein Stecker wird bestimmt nicht dabei sein, Pin-Belegung suche ich dir raus.
Innen-Rollband reagiert auf Zielnummer sowie Liniennummer und Routennummer
Außen-Rollband reagiert auf DS001, DS001a und DS003
... alles nur Dreistellig, Linie 1 - 59, Sonderzeichen 1 (Linie+E, nicht alle) und 2-5 (E, S, MM, L), Ziel 1-100, Route verschieden (keine Liste vorhanden)
