LAWO front/side-sign MONO-bus, 19 Mar. 2013 20:38

Hello,
Since a few days we have a new bus (Den Oudsten) with LAWO frontsign / sidesign and maybe back routenr.
I would like to know how I can program the sign with my own text.
I got still a LAWO 801/4 controller, should this work with my LAWO sign?

You have DS021-signs, so you need an other firmware for using TEDplus and the 801/4.
Please dont use Flash-Cards, SRAM-Cards only!

Hello publictraffic,
I didn‘t checked already the exactly firmware version. Only what I saw was on the front sign. Could you help me with the correct firmware version, or can you tell me which version I exactly need?
I currently got a flash card to program my LCD signs. Could you advice me which card I should order/buy?

Hello,
the sign has a special software for IBIS data set 021, you can read this at the software message of the front sign after startup. You can use the 801/4 to control the signs, but you need another software.
If this bus is for commercial use, you should contact me in my office.

First of all, thanks for your quick reply.
No its not commercial, some guy here would like to have the sign, but only when it works with own text and the controller. Since we self only can use LCD signs. Also you could check my start topic, that we looking for LCD signs and replace all flip-dot signs for LCD. (flip-dot doesn‘t work well with fogger in our busses, LCD does)
I‘ve told him that I would investigate if its possible, so thats the reason I‘ve made a topic.
Could you give me more information, its not TEDPlus to program the sign? And which version of firmware do I need?

Hello,
you need a special formatted SRAM Card to download destinations to the sign cntroller. The formatting is only possible with the L1151A-PC-Card-Drive or with an OmniDrive. The destinations will be written with TEDplus, the operating pogram has to be "MONO_D3.F00".

Thanks again for your reply.
I have a few card at my home, not sure if I got also SRAM cards. I‘ll need to check and try if the laptop that the person has reads SRAM cards.
Also I‘m not sure if he has TEDPlus already, is there any way to get it if needed, what price?

Hello Dave,
the software TEDplus will cost 235,- , SRAM card will cost 79,- rental. If you need only a few destinations it would be cheaper to let LAWO edit them.

For the fans, I‘ve removed the LAWO MONO-bus frontsign since its flip-dot and not LCD. A hobbyist will come to me to get the LAWO sign :)
I‘ve replaced the LAWO sign for a LCD from the brand Meister.
Here 2 pictures (1 glass (left the 3rd) is not 100% okay, but I can read the text).
